Dena Robertson is an artist who combines paint and natural elements such as grass, bark, and cotton into paintings. Her work is informed by memories of childhood encounters with nature and yearning emulations of nature’s beauty, as her work reaches toward solace and renewal. She currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Robertson spent 20 years as a bookbinder before focusing on her visual art practice. She has exhibited widely, with solo and group shows in Baltimore, Los Angeles, New York and other cities. Her work is in numerous private collections throughout the US.
