For EMDR THERAPISTS interested in CONSULTATION AND /OR CERTIFICATION:

 

EMDRIA requires 20 total hours of consultation composed of 10 group hours and 10 individual hours as part of certification requirements.   Individual consultation hours can be earned when signing up to presenting individual case material for over 20 minutes during group time or by setting up individual meetings with your consultant. 

 

Individual consultation is $150 for a 50 minute consultation.

MONTHLY TELEPHONE CONSULTATION & CERTIFICATION SERIES:

 

 WHAT: Two hour group consultation once per month conference call for a six month series.  Limited to 8 people max

 WHO: Any clinician who has completed an EMDRIA approved basic training in EMDR therapy.

 

 FEE: $ 300 paid up front to secure your spot for six month series. (I apologize but to keep costs low, there are NO makeup sessions.)

Completing consultation hours is not a guarantee of certification as the consultant must approve that the clinical application of EMDR procedures have been met. The focus is on enhancing your professional development, knowledge and skills in clinical application of standard, evidence based EMDR therapy procedures described in Francine Shapiro's 2001 Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing: Basic Principals, Protocols and Procedures and by Roy Kiessling. Not addressed in this group series are modified EMDR procedures required for applying EMDR therapy to those with dissociative or personality disorders.
